• Weit ausgedehnte Sandbänke mit tief dazwischen einschneidenden Wasserrinen: als Platen bezeichnet man die Sandflächen zwischen den Rinnen. Die Aufnahme entstand bei niedrigem Wasserstand. Bei Hochwasser sind die Sandflächen alle vom Nordseewasser überspült.
