• Die Gravitationskraft wirkt an allen Punkten der Erde ähnlich stark. Sie zieht Objekte mehr oder minder Richtung Erdmittelpunkt. Abseits der zwei Pole wirkt eine Fliehkraft. Sie ist umso stärker, je näher man am Äquator ist. Die Fliehkraft wirkt nach außen und vermindert die Wirkung der Gravitionskraft. Die Resulierende aus Gravitations- und Fliehkraft ist die Gewichtskraft.
