• Ein Doppelspat liegt auf einem Kinderatlas: man sieht das Bild von einem Spiesbock mit dem Wort als Schriftzug doppelt geschrieben. Dieser Effet gab dem Spat seinen Namen.

• Zwischen Kamera und Originalbild lag ein Calcit-Kristall.
  

• Dieser verursacht die Doppelbrechung.
