- Je nach Bauart zwischen 5600 und rund 9300 Kilogramm Waffenlast: Die F-16: ein US-Jagdflugzeug mit waffenstrotzender Unterseite. Militärflugzeuge vereinigen viel Technik auf kleinstem Raum und sind oft ein Sinnbild für Waffentechnik.
- Die F-16 Fighting Falcon ist ein einstrahliges Mehrzweckkampfflugzeug aus US-amerikanischer Produktion. Die einsitzige Maschine war nur als leichtes Jagdflugzeug entworfen worden, allerdings führte die hohe Nachfrage dazu, dass sie zum Allwetter-Mehrzweckkampfflugzeug weiterentwickelt wurde. Seit dem Beginn der Serienproduktion 1976 wurden über 4570 Maschinen gebaut.

- Air Force Capt. Brandon Lavalley breaks right on a final approach over northern Las Vegas during day three of Red Flag 12-2 on Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., Jan. 25, 2012. Lavalley is a pilot assigned to the 4th Fighter Squadron. Coalition partners from South Korea and Saudi Arabia participated in the joint training exercise.
