Partizipatorisches Universum

Grundidee
Der US-amerikanische Physiker Archibald Wheeler schlug im Jahr 1990 vor, den Kosmos als ein partizipatorisches Gebilde zu deuten, in dem die jeweils momentane Realität erst durch die teilhabende Mitwirkung von Bewusstsein zustande kommt[1]. Wheeler nahm im Jahr 2006 an einer Diskussion mit anderen Physikern im australischen Rundfunk teil. Hier stehen einige Originalzitate von John Archibald Wheeler.
Die Fragestellung
"The brain is small. The universe is large. In what way, if any, is it, the observed, affected by man, the observer? Is the universe deprived of all meaningful existence in the absence of mind? Is it governed in its structure by the requirement that it gives birth to life and consciousness? Or is man merely an unimportant speck of dust in a remote corner of space? In brief, are life and mind irrelevant to the structure of the universe – or are they central to it?[4]"

Bohr über das Doppelspaltexperiment
"Bohr asked about it once - where can the photon be said to be in its travel from the entrance to the reception? To be, he said, what does it mean, to be? We have no right to speak of where the photon is, what it's doing. Dort sagte er zu seiner Idee des partizipatorischen Universums: "We are participators in bringing into being not only the near and here but the far away and long ago.
